Glavia

Glavia is a storm-world in the Helican Subsector, noted for its pure silicon, the Vortex Rapids and the Betancore pilots. It is also associated with the needler craft that the retinue of Gregor Eisenhorn favoured in Scarus.

The planet’s elliptical orbit alternately heated and froze its surface twice each year and produced the Vortex Rapids, on which Glavian flyers trained. Its pure silicon supplied the Cult of the Micro-Omnisiah on the moon Galath, and workshops on Glavia manufactured needlers that were valued off-world.

Midas Betancore flew for Gregor Eisenhorn from Glavia. After the death of Midas Betancore, Medea Betancore took the same position. On the Orrery’s map, Glavia lies within the Helican Subsector alongside Damask and Ignix, and outside the Thracian Primaris well.
