Medea Betancore

Medea Betancore inherited the gun-cutter, the temper, and a father Eisenhorn got killed. She flies the way Midas did, which is to say she treats atmosphere like a suggestion and Inquisitors like cargo that argues.

She joined the retinue after the Glaw affair had already taken the family. Hubris, Gudrun, and the long hunt for Quixos all had her at the stick. She does not forgive easily and does not crash at all if she can help it.

Eisenhorn's household has a habit of dying around him. Medea's job is to make sure the ship is not in that pile. So far the hull has a better survival rate than the crew.
