Nemesis Subsector

The Nemesis Sub-sector is the inner region of the Formosa Sector centred on Nemesis Tessera, an Inquisition fortress-prison close to the Eye of Terror. Sources apply the names Nemesis, Formosa and Belis Corona to the wider sector inconsistently; this entry denotes the inner region only.

The Black Legion breached the fortress of Nemesis Tessera during the 2nd Black Crusade. In the 13th Black Crusade, a fallen inquisitor opened a rift there, and the Space Wolves relieved the conclave of Inquisition personnel that had been convened at the fortress. Chima Lomas and Ovaris Gulag are associated with the same area.

The sub-sector’s standing rests on its function as an Inquisition prison adjacent to the Eye of Terror, not on any role as a Grey Knights homeworld. Unofficial maps retain the Formosa Sector as its parent region and place Nemesis Tessera under the Nemesis System.
