Inquisitor Covenant

Inquisitor Covenant is an Ordo Malleus inquisitor and psyker who conducts a campaign against daemonhosts created by other inquisitors. The Ordo Malleus is the branch of the Inquisition concerned with daemonic threats, and a psyker is a human with psychic ability. Covenant regards other inquisitors as the principal source of the danger he opposes, and he carries a falchion and a psycannon.

Covenant was trained by Argento, an inquisitor who attempted to make the Emperor manifest in a Living Saint. For that attempt, Covenant and Idris killed their master, and Covenant took the rosette as a scar of the act. He later rescued Ivixia Dannica from a massacre and instructed her in the same severe methods by which he had been taught.

In the Horusian Wars novels, Covenant appears on Dominicus Prime, where a tarot reading indicates that he is absent from the future. He continues, nonetheless, to appear in order to sit in judgement of bishops.
