Nostramo Sector

The Nostramo Sector is a sunless region of Ultima whose principal world, Nostramo, was the origin of the Night Lords and was destroyed by Konrad Curze. Nostramo was a hive world built of adamantium and associated with organised crime conducted under cover of night. The sector is the region from which the VIII Legion, the Night Lords, came.

A moon locked in a fixed position relative to the planet produced a permanent eclipse, which kept Nostramo in darkness. Its pale population supplied the recruits of the Night Lords. The primarch Konrad Curze later judged that the hive no longer deserved to exist and bombarded it to fragments. Other worlds share the sector, among them Cairn, Kalleth, Kruun and Ulan Hûda, together with the Occludus System. Tenebor and the Shroud of Eventide are also associated with it.

The sector remains of significance because the origin of the Night Lords is a place as well as a deceased primarch. Later millennia have regarded the region as cursed space. Unofficial fan maps keep Ultima as the parent of the sector and record Nostramo as a child of the sector, rather than supplying a system entry that the source material does not provide.
