Olympia Majoris

Olympia Majoris is the sector-level designation for the mountainous home region of Perturabo, primarch of the Iron Warriors, containing the world of Olympia. The designation appears on the charts of the Ultima Segmentum. Olympia itself was formerly a world of city-states and fortresses.

Perturabo, known as the Lord of Iron, razed Olympia after a revolt backed by the Word Bearers. The intervening millennia reduced the ruins to a perdita wasteland. The culture of the IV Legion developed in these mountains and was shaped by siege warfare. Perturabo approached his own cities as problems of geometry.

Since the destruction of Olympia, no living Iron Warriors recruiting world remains in the region. The designation persists because Perturabo’s origin is a place on the Occident Declining maps and not only a fortress in the Eye. Olympia Majoris remains significant as the ruined home of the IV Legion. Unofficial fan summaries retain the Ultima Segmentum, Occident Declining parent and do not record a separate Olympia system beneath the sector-level entry.
