Segmentum Obscurus

Segmentum Obscurus is one of the Imperium’s five Segmentum Majoris, the northern division whose fortress is Cypra Mundi and which contains the Eye of Terror.

Cadia, Calixis, Gothic, Scarus, Agripinaa, Belis Corona, Nachmund, Medusa and the Halo Stars all lie within the segmentum. Following the 13th Black Crusade, much of its territory came to lie within Imperium Nihilus.

Segmentum Obscurus retains its importance as the location of the Gate and of the dark region above Terra. The name is not a synonym for the Eye of Terror. Unofficial fan summaries record the segmentum without a parent, since it is a primary division and not part of Sector Solar.
