Sigma Pavonis is an Ultima Guard medicae world, the Ciaphas Cain address where traumatised troopers rest until they are fit or are quietly turned into combat servitors. This map keeps it under sigma-pavonis-system and does not file it as Pavonis the Nightbringer tomb.

Amberley Vail's footnote in Caves of Ice is the whole published joke: a major Imperial Guard hospital that also happens to be a major Inquisition servitor yard. Guard slang for combat-fatigue madness is going siggy. Simple cases return to the line; the rest do not come home as men.

Sigma Pavonis still matters as Cain's hospital-world punchline, not a Necron industrial rock. Unofficial summaries keep the Ultima system parent, refuse to steal Uriel Ventris's Pavonis dossier, and do not pretend the medicae is kind.
