Tephaine System

The Tephaine System is a four-world Calixis system on the edge of the Adrantis Nebula, comprising a hive world, two agri-worlds and a pleasure world. Its function is to supply and house population for the sub-sector, not to serve as the setting of a major campaign.

The hive world Tephaine forms the system’s principal population centre. It is accompanied by the agri-worlds Siculi and Tephaine Minor and by the pleasure world Reth. The lakes of Siculi produce protoalgia, a cultivated food source. Reth serves as a resort to which Calixis wealth is directed, despite its proximity to the nebula. The nearest widely known neighbouring system is Baraspine. No Black Crusade is recorded in the Tephaine System.

The system’s standing rests on its use as an Adrantis location in the Dark Heresy setting. Unofficial summaries retain the Adrantis Nebula as its parent location and do not treat Reth as a shrine world.
