The Ghost Stars

The Ghost Stars are a region of dying suns and dead human worlds, known in later charts as the Ghoul Stars, catalogued here under Segmentum Obscurus. The region has a reputation as a feared expanse of space and is recorded as a named area, not as an arbitrary grouping of stars.

Several forces operate in or around the region. The Death Spectres and the Carcharodons both watch or hunt there, and Helbrecht’s Cythor Fiend crusade is also associated with it. The Bone Kingdom of Drazak and the Ashen Claws appear in the same body of accounts. Published lore usually places the Ghoul Stars in the northeast of Segmentum Ultima, but this site retains Segmentum Obscurus as the parent region.

The Ghost Stars are significant as a haunted region on the edge of settled space, distinguished by its dead worlds and the forces that contest it. This unofficial fan summary keeps the Obscurus placement and does not merge the entry with the Halo Stars.
