Cruor Vult

Cruor Vult was a Chaos Titan recorded as having been destroyed on Miquol or Durer during the Fayde Thuring hunt. As with many war engines fielded by the forces of Chaos, its name survives chiefly through the record of its destruction rather than through any detailed account of its origin or prior service.

Accounts of the engagement associate Cruor Vult with the wider campaign of pursuit and containment conducted against Chaos assets on or around Miquol and Durer, an episode later folded into the broader chronicle of Inquisitorial activity of the period sometimes referred to as the Fayde Thuring hunt. Sources differ on the precise sequence of the engagement and on which world hosted the Titan’s final action, and no detailed order of battle for the encounter is reliably attested.

Cruor Vult is of note chiefly as one of the few Chaos Titans named in surviving accounts of Inquisitorial operations from this period, its destruction cited as an indication of the scale of enemy war matériel such hunts were required to confront. Beyond this, its standing within any particular Titan Legion or warband tradition of Chaos is not established in the surviving record.
