Iyanna Arienal

Iyanna Arienal, called the Angel of Iyanden, is the greatest Spiritseer of the Iyanden craftworld and a leader of its seers in the Ynnari compact. She took seriously Eldrad’s warning concerning Ynnead, which the Seer Council had been inclined to set aside.

House Arienal was destroyed by Chaos cyclonic fire at the Battle of the Burning Moon. Iyanna preserved her mind in the Infinity Circuit, remaining among the dead of the craftworld. Her followers later searched ruined worlds for the Tears of Morai-Heg, and their movement grew beyond the faction of Prince Yriel. She survived Dûriel, where Taec Silvereye did not, and subsequently led Iyanden’s seers into the Ynnari compact. She also directed an expedition to Zaisuthra, which suffered heavy losses.

Roughly half of the craftworld’s dead still regard her course as reasonable. Prince Yriel seeks to direct the craftworld’s weapons against Chaos, whereas Iyanna seeks the awakening of Ynnead, the god of the dead. Both aims are pursued within Iyanden, a craftworld constructed of wraithbone.
