Sylandri Veilwalker is Shadowseer of the Masque of the Veiled Path, or a job title several Harlequins have worn; Fabius Bile is not sure there is only one. She steered T'au into a meat-grinder on Maudlin III to save another world, walked Taec Silvereye to his death at Dûriel, and then borrowed Prince Yriel.
During the Thirteenth Black Crusade she pointed Belisarius Cawl at Eriad VI, helped Eldrad funnel Cadia's survivors into the Webway, and later appeared with Cypher to pull Guilliman out of a Chaos cage. On Luna she shut the gate after Magnus was forced back, then vanished before anyone could put her on a roster.
Cegorach's people do not explain the joke. Veilwalker is the punchline that keeps showing up in Imperial after-action reports.
