Kol Badar

Kol Badar is a Word Bearers Dark Apostle of the Traitor Legion, associated on Orrery with the daemon world of Sicarus in the Eye of Terror. As a Dark Apostle he belongs to the priesthood that directs the Legion’s veneration of the Ruinous Powers, the rank through which Word Bearers doctrine is carried from its seat of authority to its scattered warbands.

Few dated deeds are securely attached to him, and accounts of his origin, his service before the Horus Heresy, and the size of his personal following are sparse; this entry records only what is established and leaves the remainder open. His setting is Sicarus, a cathedral-world where the Dark Council meets in the Basilica of the Word and where Kor Phaeron is held to have made his refuge after the Battle of Calth. No specific alliance, rivalry, or master–disciple bond is firmly established for him here, and none is asserted.

Kol Badar’s significance lies chiefly in what the rank represents: the named Apostles who administer the Word Bearers’ faith during Lorgar’s long withdrawal. His most useful contemporaries on Orrery are Kor Phaeron and Erebus, together with the Dark Apostles of the Dark Council, and his place on the map is Sicarus, with the Word Bearers’ timeline as his temporal setting. His current status is not established, and any account of his fate should be treated as unconfirmed.
