Erebus is First Chaplain of the Word Bearers, the priest who put a knife in the Great Crusade and called it revelation. He arranged Horus's wounding on Davin, murdered friends to keep destinies on track, and walked through the Siege as if the gods already had his receipt.
He stabbed Garviel Loken in the back after the Warmaster died, because even the end of the Heresy was a ritual that needed a last body. Lorgar grew to hate him. That has not stopped the work.
He is still active in the Eye, still preaching, still sure that every atrocity was a necessary page. Colchis trained him. Chaos merely gave him a bigger congregation.
