Assault on Nero Hive
Imperial Guard and Raven Guard struck Chaos-held Nero Hive on Caligula during the Ghostmaker years of the Sabbat Worlds Crusade. A psychic storm over the hive wrecked troop-ships and stranded the first wave. Colonel Colm Corbec’s Tanith detachment found the daemon source in the western blocks, called Navarre’s orbital fire, and levelled the creature with the district. Once the hive fell, Gaunt ran relief convoys from Aurelian toward Calphernia and used Bragg’s bait column to draw bandits under Marauder bombs. Nero Hive stayed the named beat that cracked Caligula.
