Try Again Bragg was a Tanith First heavy-weapons trooper, a gentle giant whose poor aim and huge strength made him Hlaine Larkin’s closest friend in the line.

He hauled autocannons alone, brewed sacra, and took Gaunt’s bait-convoy command on Caligula when bandits needed drawing into Marauder fire. Most of the regiment called him slow; Gaunt read the quiet mind behind the bulk.

On Phantine, after he turned Lijah Cuu in for looting, Cuu put a warknife through his heart. Bragg still nearly took the murderer’s head with an ammo case before he dropped.
