Acheron

Acheron is the world on which the Dawn of War III campaign is set, where Gabriel Angelos, Farseer Macha and Gorgutz contest the Spear of Khaine. This entry, filed under the Ultima parent, denotes that campaign world and not any other location bearing a similar name.

The Blood Ravens under Angelos raced Macha and Gorgutz for the Spear of Khaine, which proved to be a lure set by Chaos. When the trap opened, Angelos crashed a battle barge into a fissure, and the planet broke apart. Later maps continue to record Acheron because the war took place there, although the planet no longer survives intact.

Acheron is the third Dawn of War battlefield of the Blood Ravens. Unofficial fan summaries retain the Ultima parent and distinguish this entry from Tartarus, from Kadaku, and from any river of the dead in the Sol system. The entry refers solely to the world of Dawn of War III.
