Acheron

Acheron is the accursed Dawn of War III world that surfaces from the Warp on a long cycle, a Spear of Khaine prize Gabriel Angelos, Farseer Macha, and Gorgutz all tried to own. This Ultima pin is that campaign rock, not a random underworld namesake.

The spear was a Chaos lure. When the trap opened, Angelos crashed a battle barge into a fissure and the planet came apart. Later maps still plot Acheron because the war happened here, even if the crust no longer has a polite opinion about remaining a world.

Acheron still matters as the Blood Ravens' third Dawn of War battlefield. Unofficial fan summaries keep the Ultima parent and do not confuse this pin with Tartarus, with Kadaku, or with any Sol-system river of the dead.
