Caliban Sector

The Caliban Sector is an administrative sector of the Segmentum Obscurus surrounding Caliban, the destroyed homeworld of the Dark Angels. It is the division above the Caliban Sub-sector and includes remnant bodies such as Orphia.

Caliban was broken at the end of the Horus Heresy, when Lion El’Jonson and Luther destroyed the world. The Rock is what remains of its gravity well. This entry concerns the sector as an administrative unit and does not duplicate the separate entry for the planet.

The sector remains of consequence because the Dark Angels, known as the Unforgiven, still navigate from the wreck of their homeworld and decline to rename it. The site’s unofficial notes retain the Segmentum Obscurus as the sector’s parent. Caliban itself is placed one level further down, as a grandchild of the sector, through the caliban-system entry.
