Gravalax

Gravalax is an agricultural world of the Ultima Segmentum, situated in its own star system and not a sept world of the T’au Empire. The planet is the setting of Sandy Mitchell’s novel For the Emperor.

In 931.M41 Gravalax hosted a T’au diplomatic presence and became the site of the Gravalax Incident, in which a genestealer cult attempted to provoke war between the Imperium and the T’au.

The Valhallan 597th Regiment was deployed to Gravalax during the incident. Commissar Ciaphas Cain and his aide Ferik Jurgen took part in the fighting, during which Cain first encountered Ordo Xenos Inquisitor Amberley Vail.
