Sarum System

The Sarum System is a Dark Mechanicum hell-forge system in the Ultima Segmentum, on the Maelstrom side, that armed the World Eaters during the Horus Heresy. It is a barren gravity cluster, and its forges were worked by the Crimson Priests. The entry concerns this Chaos-aligned location and not a civilised shrine world that shares the name.

The Crimson Priests supplied the World Eaters with arms throughout the Heresy. In the Golgothan Slaughter, Angron entered Redjak’s empire in what was presented as a rescue, and then occupied it. Perturabo later discovered a bound Khorne daemon at the centre of the system, and the first Obliterator emerged from it wearing stolen armour.

The Sarum System remains significant as the forge from which the Traitor Legions learned to grow weapons within living flesh. This dossier keeps the Ultima Segmentum as the system’s parent region and does not classify it as an Imperial forge.
