Sarum

Sarum is a barren Maelstrom-side hell-forge of the Dark Mechanicum, whose Crimson Priests supplied arms to the World Eaters during the Horus Heresy.

In the Golgothan Slaughter, Angron ‘rescued’ Redjak’s empire on Sarum and then occupied it. Perturabo later discovered a bound daemon of Khorne, named Sa’ra’am, at the centre of the forge. The first Obliterator emerged from this site in the armour of Volk.

Sarum stands as a forge of the Traitor forces and as the place associated with the appearance of the first Obliterator. This entry describes the star-system location, identified as sarum-system, and should be distinguished from the civilised world recorded separately as sarum-946.
