Sector Solar

Sector Solar is the administrative sector around Sol, Terra’s own sector, and is distinct from Segmentum Solar, the larger division of which it forms part. The two should not be confused: Battlefleet Solar guards the Segmentum, which spans roughly half the galaxy, and not this sector alone.

Subsector Solar contains the Sol System. Chrysis, Phacton, The Comet and Artefact 9-Kappa-Mu appear on the same chart as sibling entries. This entry records the administrative framework surrounding Terra, the birthplace of humanity, and is not an alternative name for the Segmentum.

Sector Solar remains significant because Terra’s address is a nested one, with the sector set within the Segmentum. Unofficial maps retain Segmentum Solar as the parent of this sector and do not reassign Sol’s parentage to this entry.
