Tarsis Ultra System

The Tarsis Ultra System is an agri-world system in Ultima, named for Roboute Guilliman, that was left a barren rock after the Leviathan battle of 999.M41. The system took its name from Guilliman, who saved a local soldier during the Great Crusade. Barbarus Prime, Chordelis, Parosa and Yulan are sister worlds that share its grouping.

In 999.M41 the system became a battleground in the Tyranid campaign of Hive Fleet Leviathan. Uriel Ventris, the Mortifactors and Inquisitor Kryptman broke a Tyranid tendril there. The Iron Warrior Honsou then fired a stolen virus into the Tyranid flora that remained. The growth consumed the atmosphere, and the agri-world was reduced to a scoured rock.

The Tarsis Ultra System is remembered as a victory that Honsou’s action undid. Barbarus Prime, as used here, is a neighbouring world of the system and is distinct from Barbarus, the homeworld of Mortarion. This site retains Ultima as the parent classification.
