Kryptman

Fidus Kryptman is the Inquisitor who decided the Tyranid advance could be slowed by burning a cordon of Imperial worlds and letting Orks and Tyranids eat each other in Octarius. The Inquisition branded him a traitor for the cordon. The hive fleets did not slow down enough to make the argument academic.

He is the Ordo Xenos expert other Inquisitors quote when they want to sound like they understand the Great Devourer, and the one they disown when the body count is on the page. The Kryptman Line is a map of that contradiction.

He may still be in the dark, following spores. The Imperium still lives on the ugly arithmetic he was willing to do out loud.
