Veridian System

The Veridian System is Ultramar's Calth well, the Veridia star cluster whose blue-white sun now kills anything left on the surface. The Word Bearers used a false ork muster to ambush the XIII Legion here; the star has been poisonous ever since.

People live in cavern cities and still build hulls in orbit. Sister rocks Ischara, Lamane, Ravishol, Veridia Force, and Veridian share the well with station Numinus High Anchor. If you are mapping the Heresy, this is one of the three must-plot loyalist disasters alongside Isstvan.

The Veridian System still matters as Calth's murdered sun. Unofficial fan summaries keep the Ultramar parent and refuse to treat Veridia as a planet or to confuse the pin with a random Veridian Prime elsewhere.
