Vigilus System

The Vigilus System is the Nachmund Gauntlet hive well, one of the few stable crossings of the Great Rift, whose dry principal world is why the route still has an Imperial name. Bastion-class force fields once boxed its sprawls; Orks, genestealers, Aeldari raiders, and the Black Legion have all punched through them.

Marneus Calgar's war here is the current argument. Sister rocks Nemendghast, Falsehood, Geotrope XII, Hearthlack, Omis-Prion, moon Neo-Vellum, and star Astravigilia share the chart. Water on Vigilus is a rank; most of the planet is dust.

The Vigilus System still matters as the Nachmund door the Imperium cannot afford to lose. Unofficial summaries keep the Nachmund Sub-sector parent and do not merge the pin with Sangua Terra.
