Illic Nightspear

Illic Nightspear is an Aeldari Ranger of Craftworld Alaitoc who has long followed the Path of the Outcast and is known as the Sentinel of the Stars. He has remained on that path for so long that Alaitoc is uncertain whether he can leave it. Rangers also call him Wayforger and Shield of Alaitoc. He regards the galaxy as a web of unknown paths, and he treats the Rhana Dandra, the prophesied final battle of the Aeldari, as a deadline that he is privately trying to avoid.

In recent centuries Nightspear has tracked Necrons for reasons he has not disclosed. On Cano’var, the Necron Zahndrekh captured him alongside Kor’sarro Khan, and the two escaped a tomb-prison intended to end both of their careers. On Carnac, Nightspear led Pathfinders against Anrakyr and found Deathmarks waiting at the place where prophecy had indicated an Overlord would stand.

Nightspear’s principal weapon is the long rifle Voidbringer. His acolytes regard his undisclosed agenda as the only thing holding the end of days at arm’s length.
