Helynna Valeria

Helynna Valeria was a radical Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos, the alien-hunting branch of the Inquisition, who collected extraterrestrial weaponry. She routinely requisitioned enemy artefacts, placing weapons from species such as the Eldar, Hrud, and Draxians into her vault. Her foremost ambition was securing the Dimensional Forge, a null engine capable of excluding daemons across a radius of light-years, an asset she was prepared to preserve at the cost of an entire hive world.

Valeria’s methods provoked severe conflict within her organisation. At Cavlock, Emil Darkhammer forestalled her by executing Exterminatus, the complete destruction of the planet. Valeria denounced Darkhammer as a traitor and pursued him, while the wider Inquisition treated the feud as a spectator sport. She subsequently journeyed to Solemnace, where Trazyn confronted her, infected her with mindshackle scarabs to control her will, and archived her for later retrieval.

Greyfax subsequently detected the infection and summarily executed Valeria. Although an Inquisitorial tribunal questioned the legality of the action, Valeria’s fate served as an enduring warning within the Inquisition against the hazards of acquiring alien relics.
