Sindri Myr

Chaos Sorcerer

Also known as Sindri

Sindri Myr was an Alpha Legion Chaos Sorcerer who conducted a covert ritual on Tartarus to advance the Alpha Legion’s Maledictum scheme. His operation depended on concealment: the more conspicuous invasion led by the Chaos Space Marine Lord Bale served as a diversion, drawing Imperial and rival attention away from Sindri’s true work. This division of roles reflected a longstanding Alpha Legion habit of separating a visible aggressor from a hidden architect, and it placed the two commanders in tension — Bale, who favoured direct conquest, repeatedly chafed at the demands of subtlety that Sindri’s plan required.

On Tartarus, Sindri worked through intermediaries rather than open battle. He directed Ork forces against the Blood Ravens Space Marine Chapter, using the greenskins’ onslaught to occupy the Chapter’s attention and thin its defences. At the same time, he worked to corrupt Isador Akios, a Blood Raven whose growing doubts Sindri exploited, steering him toward treachery from within his own Chapter. Throughout, Sindri held to a fixed timetable tied to the ritual’s completion, treating the unfolding battles across Tartarus as cover for a schedule that could not be delayed.

When the Blood Ravens, led by Gabriel Angelos, closed in on the ritual site, Sindri ordered Bale to delay Angelos’s advance and withdrew with the stone at the centre of his working. Completing the ritual, he attained daemonhood, but his existence as a daemon prince lasted only a single engagement: Angelos confronted and destroyed both the daemon and the relic that had sustained it. Sindri’s final act left behind a daemon presence that was not permanently suppressed, yet he himself obtained no second host, and his death on Tartarus ended the Alpha Legion’s scheme at that site.
