Eisenhorn–Ravenor Helican Inquisition theatre
The Eisenhorn–Ravenor Helican Inquisition theatre comprises the successive Inquisitorial operations of Eisenhorn and, later, Ravenor in Helican. The theatre takes its name from the two Inquisitors who worked there in turn. Helican is a sub-sector, a subdivision of a larger administrative region of the Imperium. Eisenhorn worked in Helican first, and Ravenor followed him there. Both treated the sub-sector as territory of the Scarus Ordo, the branch of the Inquisition with which the region is associated. Their activity took the form of trials and of an exchange of letters. Alongside these ran a prolonged dispute over which authority in fact governs the sub-sector. The theatre is significant chiefly for that dispute. It shows that control of Helican was a matter of continuing contention rather than settled arrangement, and it links the work of the two Inquisitors within a single area of operations.
