Helican Subsector

The Helican Sub-sector is an old cultural and spiritual cube of the Scarus Sector in Segmentum Obscurus, the beat of Eisenhorn and Ravenor and a favourite hiding place for cults. Gudrun was the former capital; Thracian Primaris later took the desk, and the Ordo Hereticus never really left.

Helican is more than one hive. Hubris, Hesperus, Sameter, Glavia, and a string of lesser worlds share the chart, along with the Gudrun System pin that keeps the old capital's name. This is 41st-millennium Inquisition country, not a Great Crusade household. The sub-sector's fame is letters, trials, and the long argument over who actually runs Scarus.

The Helican Sub-sector still matters as the Scarus map people actually read. Unofficial fan summaries keep the scarus-sector parent and do not merge Helican into Calixis just because both have Inquisitors.
