Gideon Ravenor is an Inquisitor of the Ordo Xenos who does his work from a force chair, a mind that survived the Thracian atrocity when the body did not. Eisenhorn was his teacher. The chair is the rest of the education.
He hunted the Cognitae, lost and regained a retinue, and kept working cases that would have ended a walking man. Molotch, Zygmunt, and the Language of Enuncia were not mysteries he could leave on a desk. The chair is not a retirement. It is a weapon platform.
He is still listed among the Inquisition's radicals or its assets, depending on who is filing. Either way the work continues. Eisenhorn taught him that much.
