First Aurelian Crusade on Meridian
The First Aurelian Crusade on Meridian was a Blood Ravens campaign on the hive world Meridian in Subsector Aurelia, part of the Aurelian Crusades. The Blood Ravens fought these crusades on the planet under Gabriel Angelos and Davian Thule. Meridian became the industrial capital of Subsector Aurelia after the former capital world, Aurelia, froze in the warp. Aurelia was then no longer accessible, so Meridian’s manufacturing capacity made it the principal centre of production in the subsector and it served as hive capital. The available records do not give the dates, the opposing forces or the course of the engagements. They state only that the Blood Ravens fought the Aurelian Crusades on Meridian. The crusade forms part of Meridian’s wider record within Subsector Aurelia, alongside the sibling locations Calderis, Typhon Primaris and the frozen Aurelia. Other records concerning the planet describe separate events, including the inaction of Governor Vandis towards the Ork and Eldar forces present on Meridian.
