Thaddeus

Thaddeus is an assault sergeant of the Blood Ravens Space Marine Chapter and the first Meridian native recruited in seven centuries. Davian Thule selected him after observing the former street ganger defend a riot line in Hab Spire Legis. Thaddeus attained the rank of sergeant before receiving his first service stud—an insignia denoting veteran service—and established a reputation as a brash assault marine who maintained that the Chapter’s commitments extended to the underhives.

His combat experience encompasses operations against feral Orks on Calderis and Typhon, as well as engagements against Tyranids and the Black Legion on Aurelia. During these campaigns, Thaddeus directed persistent questions to Tarkus regarding the Chapter’s historical conduct on Kronus, inquiries that the veteran preferred not to answer.

Thaddeus does not conform to the archetype of a covert traitor. Rather, his standing demonstrates the Blood Ravens’ deliberate policy of recruiting idealistic individuals, whose optimism the Chapter deploys directly into airborne shock assaults from Thunderhawk gunships.
