Apollo Diomedes was Captain of the Blood Ravens Honour Guard, Kyras's public sword until the Aurelian Crusades taught him that the glories were a script. He enforced Chapter lockdown against Gabriel Angelos, then learned the Chapter Master was the heresy, and had to live with having been the loyalist enforcer of a lie.
Tarkus pulled him out of despair aboard the Judgement of Carrion. Diomedes led the last push, slew Azariah Kyras, halted the Exterminatus, and got Angelos to an Apothecary instead of a pyre. Angelos named him Hero of the Chapter. Diomedes put the captaincy down and took a crozius.
Cyrene and Typhon are graves he helped make and then try to unmake. A Chaplain who used to be Kyras's champion is a sermon the Blood Ravens cannot ignore. He preaches it at himself first.
