Osma’s arrest of Eisenhorn
Lord Osma arrested the radical Eisenhorn as Extremis Diabolus once Ordo Malleus pressure had reached his documentary record. The designation Extremis Diabolus was the formal category under which the arrest was made. The proceedings took place within the institutional framework of Thracian Primaris, which supplied that framework even where the warrants appeared to reflect the wider Ordo Malleus politics associated with Cadia. Eisenhorn’s allies and adversaries observed the same authority determine how far a figure of his standing could fall. The arrest did not end Eisenhorn’s work. It changed the designation under which that work was carried on.
