Thracian Atrocity
The Thracian Atrocity was an attack by Chaos-tainted pilots on Lord Helican’s Triumph, a parade held on Thracian Primaris. The assault took place along the Avenue of the Victor Bellum and left Gideon Ravenor burned. The Triumph was a public spectacle in the capital of Thracian Primaris. The pilots strafed the procession, which turned the ceremony into a massacre. In the confusion, alpha psykers escaped from their cages. Ravenor, the pupil of Gregor Eisenhorn, survived the attack as a mind housed in a force chair. Lord Helican did not again treat the Triumph as a pageant. Alizebeth Bequin was present on Thracian Primaris with Eisenhorn’s retinue for Lord Helican’s Triumph when the Chaos-tainted pilots struck. The atrocity that crippled Ravenor opened the Quixos hunt in which her Distaff of Blanks would later be used as a null screen against Quixos’s gathered psykers.
