Hagia

Hagia is a feudal shrine world in the Sabbat cluster, birthplace of Saint Sabbat and the site where her remains were kept. Its principal religious institutions include the Doctrinopolis and the Shrinehold associated with the saint.

During the later crusade in the Sabbat cluster, Infardi cultists seized the Doctrinopolis. Imperial Guard forces subsequently recaptured it. In the same campaign, a relic housed in the saint’s Shrinehold defeated a Chaos fleet in orbit around the planet.

Saint Sabbat’s original crusade, conducted in the thirty-fifth millennium (M35), began in the hills of Hagia. This origin gives the later struggle for the shrine its continuing significance, since the contest concerned the world from which the saint’s campaign first proceeded.
