Iydris

Iydris, also called Amon ny-shak Kaelis, was an artificial Eldar crone world suspended above a supermassive black hole in the Eye. It was constructed rather than naturally formed, and its position over the black hole set it apart from ordinary worlds of the region.

Fulgrim took Perturabo to Iydris while pursuing the Angel Exterminatus. During their presence there, the world’s spirit stones failed, and Fulgrim ascended to daemonhood. Iydris subsequently fell into the black hole over which it had been suspended.

Iydris is recorded chiefly as the setting of Fulgrim’s ascent and as a world that no longer exists in its original form. For mapping purposes, the 40k Orrery places its wreckage in the Ghost Stars, a convention adopted for convenience rather than a statement of its final resting place.
