Sabik Wayland was Iron Father of the Sisypheum, a Medusan priest-engineer who pulled Nykona Sharrowkyn out of Isstvan V's wreck and then spent the Heresy turning a wounded strike cruiser into a scalpel. He was the reason that ship kept a motive force and a grudge.
He put a round into Fulgrim at Hydra Cordatus, walked Iydris beside the Shattered, and later moved the Magna Mater when Luna's gene-vaults became a war. Wayland treated primarchs as target profiles and relics as cargo that happened to scream.
The Sisypheum's Iron Father does not get a neat last chapter. Missing, for a man like that, usually means the machine-spirit of some later war still has his rite on the plaque. Medusa would have understood. He did not go home to explain it.
