Kadaku

Kadaku is a jungle death world in the Recidious System, Segmentum Tempestus, and the opening location of the video game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2. Hive Fleet Leviathan, a Tyranid swarm, has turned the jungle canopy into a feeding ground. Demetrian Titus lands on the world before the war moves on to Avarax and Demerium.

The opening stage of the campaign takes place under Tyranid attack. Tyranid spores, Cadian holdouts and Ultramarine strike teams contest a landing zone that risks being consumed by the swarm. Kadaku is neither a shrine world nor a hive world. When the campaign begins, the planet is already largely overrun.

Kadaku remains notable as the Recidious jungle setting of the sequel, and the game treats it as an active theatre of war rather than as background scenery. It belongs to the Recidious System and should not be confused with Tartarus, the setting of Dawn of War, or with Demerium, a cemetery moon.
