Demetrian Titus

Demetrian Titus is a Space Marine of the Ultramarines Chapter and Captain of its 2nd Company, a command he lost and later regained. He is a son of Tarentus and holds the title Warden of Ultramar, conferred by Guilliman. His career includes the loss of his captaincy after Graia, a century lost to Inquisitor Thrax, and service in the Deathwatch.

On Graia, Titus killed the ork Warboss Grimskull and the sorcerer Nemeroth. He lost the captaincy of the 2nd Company after that campaign. He later served as a Black Shield, a status that entailed anonymity, and returned to the Chapter by way of the Deathwatch and the Rubicon, as the Ultramarines still required his service. He rejoined as a lieutenant under Acheran and remained in that role until Trygg restored the 2nd Company to his command.

Guilliman named Titus Warden of Ultramar, and Tigurius had already vouched for him. The Inquisition has described him as tainted, yet the Warp has never claimed him. Titus treats both circumstances as operational data rather than as defining characteristics.
