Leandros

Leandros is Chaplain of the Ultramarines Second, the brother who reported Captain Titus to the Inquisition on Graia and then lived long enough to wear the skull helm that decides whether Titus gets to come home. He still believes the Codex is a cage that keeps the Chapter human. Titus still believes Leandros used it as a snare.

In the Recidious campaign he ordered the returned lieutenant to hide the missing century and report to Acheran. He also told Titus that if redemption meant anything, it meant the Chapter, not the Deathwatch. Both sentences were true. Neither has made them friends.

Macragge keeps Chaplains who will not blink. Leandros is that office with a personal history. The Second fights under a man he once condemned. He watches. That is the assignment he gave himself.
