Perlia

Perlia is a civilised world neighbouring Damocles that carries out the industrial work of its subsector. Commissar Ciaphas Cain is credited with saving it on two occasions.

In the 920s, Orks led by Gargash Korbul attacked Perlia in what is known as the First Siege. Cain’s March of the Liberator broke that siege. In 999.M41, Warmaster Varan came to Perlia in pursuit of the Shadowlight. The Second Siege ended with Varan’s expulsion from a Mechanicus shrine, while Necrons removed the artefact.

Perlia’s standing rests on its industrial function and on its association with Cain, whose actions are recorded in both sieges. The Second Siege, unlike the first, ended with the Shadowlight passing into Necron hands.
