Arkash Hakkon

Arkash Hakkon is Chapter Master of the Executioners, an Imperial Fists successor Chapter, and a Secessionist commander in the Badab War. The Chapter’s own customs style its leader High Executioner, a title that any captain may contest if he judges the holder unfit, and Hakkon is the figure named in that office in the surviving accounts of the Chapter.

The Executioners keep their fortress-monastery, Darkenvault, between the twin worlds of Stygia-Aquilon, and owed a debt to the Astral Claws, whose fleet had broken a xenos siege of those worlds in the late 39th Millennium. That debt brought the Chapter to the side of Lufgt Huron, the Tyrant of Badab, in the war of 901–913.M41, where Hakkon appears in the roll of rebel commanders beside Huron, Yarvan Sartaq and Khoisan Neotera of the Mantis Warriors, Malakim Phoros of the Lamenters and the Executioners’ own Reclusiarch, Thulsa Kane. Accounts of the Chapter describe it as fighting on its own terms, declining to garrison territory or to attack civilian targets, and turning on the Astral Claws in 911.M41 after the attack on the surrendered vessel Pyre of Glory. No individual duel, command or speech is reliably attributed to Hakkon, and the sources are largely silent on his earlier career and origin.

Hakkon’s standing rests on his office rather than on a personal record: he led a Chapter that was pardoned after the Badab War, sentenced to a century-long penitent crusade, and later returned to Stygia-Aquilon in the Era Indomitus. His own fate is not recorded, and it is uncertain whether he survived the crusade or still holds the office. On Orrery he is best read alongside the Executioners, the Astral Claws and Huron Blackheart, and against the siege of Badab Primaris, where his Chapter stood opposite the loyalist coalition that included Carab Culln’s Red Scorpions, Tyberos of the Carcharodons and Asterion Moloc’s Minotaurs.
