Octarius Sector

The Octarius Sector is a region of the Ultima Segmentum and the theatre of the Octarius War between Ork forces and Hive Fleet Leviathan. It contains the Ork empire associated with the Overfiend, the Ork ruler of the region.

The sector includes the Octarius system, Da Maw, Dakka and Ghorala, together with numerous Ork-held planetoids. Inquisitor Kryptman deliberately directed Hive Fleet Leviathan towards this Ork empire. The intention was that the two xenos species would weaken one another. The conflict instead led both to develop new methods of fighting.

The Octarius Sector remains a reference point for the risks of using one catastrophe to offset another. Unofficial maps place it under the Ultima Segmentum and list the Overfiend’s well within the Octarius system.
