Kaesoron

Julius Kaesoron was a senior officer of the Emperor’s Children Legion who rose to prominence on Chemos under the primarch Fulgrim. He is remembered as a Legion commander of the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy period, and as one of the officers, with Fabius Bile and Lucius, who defined the Legion’s leadership in that era.

Kaesoron’s career is bound to Chemos, the exhausted mining world that Fulgrim rebuilt as the seat of the Legion after the primarch was reunited with his sons. There the Legion’s officer caste was formed, and Kaesoron emerged from it as a commander trusted with the Legion’s forces. He served in the Emperor’s Children through the Great Crusade and, in the accounts that survive, followed the Legion into the rebellion of Horus, when the Emperor’s Children turned from the Imperium and, in time, wholly to the worship of Slaanesh. Accounts differ on the detail of his individual commands, and this dossier does not assign him campaigns that the record does not clearly attribute to him.

Kaesoron matters chiefly as a representative of the Legion’s command class in the Heresy years, alongside Fabius Bile, the Legion’s chief Apothecary, and Lucius the duellist, who rose on Chemos in the same period. His story sits against the fall of the Emperor’s Children and the destruction of Chemos at the war’s end by the Dark Angels and the Legio Custodes. His final fate is not established here, and his status in the current era is recorded as unknown.
