Stenius

Stenius was a Terran Dark Angel and Ironwing officer who served as Castellan of the Invincible Reason, the Lion’s flagship. As shipmaster, he held responsibility for the vessel, a Gloriana-class ship that served both as a command platform and as a weapon of war.

He commanded the Invincible Reason through the campaigns at Diamat and Davin. Diamat was a forge-war, a conflict centred on the Imperium’s manufacturing worlds. He later took part in the razing of Chemos and Barbarus, the homeworlds of traitors, which the Dark Angels carried out as a matter of deliberate policy. Throughout these operations he kept the flagship in service and acted on the Lion’s orders.

The Heresy records give no account of his death. Terran Dark Angels frequently disappear from the surviving records once the later Inner Circle takes control of the Legion’s documentation, and Stenius is among them. The Invincible Reason outlasted any certainty about who remained on its bridge, so his eventual fate is undocumented.
