Piscina IV

Piscina IV is a Dark Angels mining world about 6,000 light years east of the Eye of Terror, where continual skirmishes with Orks occur around old mine heads.

The Orks’ presence on Piscina IV predates its best-known episodes. One description holds that Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka used Piscina IV as a staging ground before the Third War for Armageddon. The Battle of Piscina IV, in which he and Nazdreg Ug Urdgrub are named as commanders of the Ork forces on the world, is dated 997.M41 and is also described as part of that war, which is dated from 998.M41. Later, a plot by the Fallen placed the world’s garrison, commanded by Chaplain Boreas, in a position where a virus bomb threatened to spread across the planet.

Boreas’s garrison chose to remain inside their keep and die there rather than allow the virus to be vented across Piscina IV. Piscina IV is recorded both for this containment and for the Ork campaign associated with Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka on the world.
